Selfless to playoffs, coL to decider

Selfless have defeated Winterfox 2-0 (Mirage 19-17, Cobblestone 16-3) for a place in the quarter-finals and compLexity made it past ACE to Group C's decider (2-0; Dust2 16-5, Cache 16-14).
Winterfox and Selfless started Group D's decider on Mirage, where the latter put up a wall on the CT side, only letting three rounds pass as their opponents' economy got reset three times.
When the sides switched, the Australians repeated the same feat themselves, also thanks to Chris "emagine" Rowlands winning an unlikely 2v4 as well as the subsequent 1v1 from Mike "ap0c" Aliferis.
Map one had to be decided in overtime, which newcomer Jake "kaboose" McDonald kicked off by clutching a 1v3, the only round Selfless won in the first half. The second half was a landslide by them however, as they barely gave Winterfox a footing in the remaining three rounds, edging them 19-17.

Cobblestone was similarly one-sided towards the start, with the only round going in favor of the Australians out of the first ten being the very first gunround. Winterfox were once again unable to string more rounds together and found themselves on low economy multiple times as Counter-Terrorists, only managing three rounds once more.
Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte and kaboose combined for five kills in the second pistol round, leaving little hope for Ryan "zewsy" Palmer's squad to make it an even battle. Winterfox conceded four rounds in a row as Selfless made it to the playoffs from second place in Group D at 16-3.

In the meantime, Null element played Group C's elimination match against huge underdogs ACE. The favourites had little to no trouble on Dust2, as they provided 13 rounds on the T side and only took six more rounds to finish it off at 16-5.
ACE managed to clinch three rounds at the start of Cache as CT, but ended up only switching over with five in total. Winning the second pistol round as well and following it up with the first gunround made it an equal 10-10 however, and soon Maxime "maxmeister" Lapierre's five were in the lead.
Complexity stopped them in their tracks though, gaining the lead back and eventually closing things out at 16-14 despite ACE's attempts to penetrate bombsites.
